Welcome to My Embroidery Hobby!

Hello! Welcome to my blog. This is the place where I do a little of a lot. I am not really fantastic at one thing or hobby, only okay at a bunch of little things. But that is what makes it fun! I am also a major copycat crafter. I find things I like and then make my own, I rarely come up with good ideas on my own. So Thank You to all you crafters out there who give me great ideas and projects to do!

Daily Prayer Chart

Mark and I have realized that we haven't done a very good job at teaching our children the importance of praying every morning and night. We have consistent family prayer, but personal prayer has kinda been neglected in the hustle and bustle of pajamas, brushing teeth, baths if needed, family prayer, bedtimes drinks, etc.
So, we decided to make a daily prayer week long challenge. We told the kids if everyone in the family went a whole week of saying bedtime and morning prayers then we would have a movie and popcorn party night at the end of the week. The kids were so excited about it. I found this simple prayer chart online (not sure where so I have no reference), and each chart had that persons picture on it. The kids were right on board with it and did great all week long! It was a fun popcorn and movie night.

Well, for some reason, my children now believe that they can only say prayers if they have a chart to put stickers on. I have tried to teach them that this isn't the case, but they are adamant about it and their prayers have been waning these last couple weeks without a chart. So I decided to just make a monthly chart so we don't have to put a new one up every week. I used Word to make the table then just opened it up in PSE and added the days, weeks, and sun/moon icons.

Worked like a charm, they are enthused and have even said their prayers without me reminding them. Yae!
