We have always tried to get our kids to NOT wipe their hands on their shirts at dinner time. If I can get a dish cloth or napkin to them then they remember and do pretty well, but most of the time I frankly forget. But I have recently noticed it becoming more of a problem for my three-year-old and four-year-old. So, I have finally made some cloth napkins. Now I shouldn't forget to grab something because I know these are specifically designed for those messy fingers and faces.
I had several fat quarters on hand so I just used those. They don't match, but if it keeps shirts from getting messy, then I am OK with that.
I made two sizes, one for the kids and one for Mark and me.
For the kids I just took two fat quarters and cut them into fourths and proceeded to make them as you would a bean bag-just without the beans :)
For the adults I cut the fat quarters in half.
Here is the size proportion. Not your typical cloth napkin sizes, but once again, it gets the job done. yae!
And yes, I know the spoon goes with the knife on the right side with the knife on the inside next to the plate and the fork on the left...whoops.
