We have been looking for a set of bunk beds for a while now. With baby #3 on the way we knew that eventually all three kids are going to share one room while we are living here. But we just couldn't find a bunk bed that we really like AND that was in our price range. So thanks to our friend Diedre, we found this website called http://ana-white.com. She has hundreds of woodworking tutorials and how-to's. So we found a bunk bed that we liked and Mark and Brand built it!

They worked into the late night hours.
This was a tricky bed because we know we are going to be moving several times in the next 8 years or so and we wanted to build a bunk bed that would allow it to be taken apart and reassembled easily. Mark and Brand figured out a way to use bolts where the headboards/footboards connect to the bed frame. It tooks LOTS of time and LOTS of creative thinking, but they did it!

These beds are so incredibly sturdy. We were really impressed, the instructions really make a great bed.
So, the rundown:
Wood: $150
Supplies: $50 (Screws, bolts, additional tools, etc)
Mattresses: $130 (for two)
Sheets/comforters: $55
Total: $385!!
